The Russian Orthodox Benefactors Club is a non-profit NGO, founded by businessmen of Berlin. It is registered under No VR 29984 in District Court of Berlin-Charlottenburg (Germany). The tax number of the foundation acknowledged as a tax-advantaged and most eligible charity organization by the Berlin revenue office is 27/662/56037. The membership fees and donations are tax deductible.
Establishing our club we tried to make it useful for the society. We have been considering the needs of people for a long time. The conclusion we have come to is that health and spiritual harmony are two simple things we need most for a happy life. What is spiritual harmony? This is, above all, faith in God and self-confidence. No matter Catholic or Orthodox church, a temple or a mosque we pray in.
The main thing is the faith wich retains our morality and makes us do good works. It is faith that helps to go forward and sanctifies and frees us from evil. It is faith that bears the sense of understanding, forgiveness, compassion and love in our hearts.
Another component of happiness is our health, the health of our loved ones and the health of our children. Alas, our health does not always depend on us. There are many children born with congenital diseases. They also need our help.
Life has no meaning or value if you can not help millions of children dying of congenital heart diseases.
There is a mission preordained to everybody. Some people study to become doctors to save lives. Others receive Holy Orders to save souls. Musicians and artists present their talent to give us joy.
But the most responsible role for us all is to do good and to make others follow our example.
The main purpose of the Club is to help those in need.
